We came in at 7:30. Didn't know they closed at 8:30. By the time the food came (fast), there was maybe 1 other party. Party of 2. Ordered the Pheonix Nest, Beef Chow Fun, Fried Green Beans, and Roasted Duck. Pheonix Nest picture looked nice with seemingly braided noodles. When we got it, it came in a tortilla bowl. Definitely not the vibe I was expecting. The beef chow fun was okay. Skinnier noodles than I was used to. Few clumps of unstirred noodle. Green beans were nice. Mild spice that stacked up as we ate, but just enough to give it a kick. The duck was a bit too gamey for my preferences. After we ate, the check came with a nice dessert of egg tart and seasame ball. That was an unexpected surprise. Loved both of those. Service was actively checking on us from a distance. Came to refill teapot with hot tea. Atmosphere was nice and quiet at their last hour. Oops.

The food is pretty good! We ordered a few of the dumplings, one meal off the lunch menu, and a chow fun dish. I recommend the Fried taro and the pork shu mai as those were our favorites. The sweet and sour pork was also good, the beef chow fun with gravy was a bit plain but still good.

Came for dim sum and left very happy. The har gow were plump and the turnip cakes had a crisp edge. Carts move quickly, so you get fresh items without waiting long. Service is brisk but helpful if you ask questions. Best to arrive before noon on weekends

We were on the way to Los Angeles and looking for a breakfast place. I found Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant perfectly on our way. We decided to have our dim sum fix there. We waited at the parking lot for a few minutes and got our table as soon as they opened. The restaurant looks a little dated. But who cares! We want to have our dim sum breakfast. The dim sum is pretty good. They're hot and fresh. We got what we wanted and were back on the road in less than 45 minutes.

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh our dim sum was. We've had long-time favorite restaurants as go to places for dim sum nearby, but no longer. We will definitely be returning to Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant.
